Zusammenfassung
Die Aufgabenstellung der Hauptabteilung Sicherheit umfasst
Genehmigungsverfahren sowie die Kontrolle und die Durchführung von
Arbeitssicherheits-, Strahlenschutz- und Werkschutzmaß-nahmen in den und für
die Institute und Abteilungen des Forschungszentrums Karlsruhe GmbH sowie die
Abwasser- und Umgebungsüberwachung für alle Anlagen und kerntechnischen
Ein-richtungen auf dem Gesamtgelände des Forschungszentrums. Der vorliegende
Bericht informiert über die einzelnen Aufgabengebiete der Hauptabteilung und
berichtet über die im Jahr 2003 erarbeiteten Ergebnisse.

Safety Department, Annual Report 2003
Abstract
The Central Safety Department is
responsible licensing procedures and for supervising, monitor-ing and executing
measures of industrial health and safety, radiation protection and security ser-vice
at and for the institutes and departments of the Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe
GmbH (Karlsruhe Research Centre), and for monitoring liquid effluents and the
environment of all fa-cilities and nuclear installations on the premises of the
Research Centre. This report gives details of the different duties and reports
the results of 2003 routine tasks, in-vestigations and developments of the
working groups of the Department. The reader is referred of the English
translation of Chapter 1 describing the duties and organiza-tion of the Central
Safety Department.
