Large area discs are available – special attention deserve ‚non-diamond phases‘ and surface losses.

Specific problems of alternative brazing processes identified-suitable solutions are in progress, experimental results expected this year.

Passivation of diamond surfaces are under study – new approaches to be validated within next months.

Ongoing experience with high power operation of windows will narrow down design uncertainties.
