Design of a broadband frequency measurement system (100-175 GHz) for gyrotrons.

The next experiments with a frequency step-tunable gyrotron (105-140 GHz)

and the coaxial cavity gyrotron (134-170 GHz) make it necessary to build

up a revised frequency diagnostic system at the Forschungszentrum

Karlsruhe. In this system the gyrotron output signal is converted down

to the IF-band (<18 GHz) signal which is splitted for a coarse frequency

measurement with a filterbank and a fine measurement (<2.5 GHz) with a

frequency time analyzer.
